The 2024 DP World Tour season begins this week with concurrent events in Australia and South Africa, as the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland in Brisbane is one of two events to mark the start of the season-long Race to Dubai. 2022 Open Championship winner Cam Smith will be teeing it up in his home country this week. He will have the opportunity to win on home soil at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship for a fourth time, having carded a final round 68 last year to win the title for a third time. Masters winner Adam Scott will also be teeing it up in Australia this week. Scott has good memories of this event having won Australian PGA Championship titles in 2013 and 2019. Robert MacIntyre will also be looking to start his 2024 DP World Tour season strong in Australia after a fantastic season in 2023. The Scotsman made seven top-10’s, a brilliant T2 at the Genesis Scottish Open and the 2023 Ryder Cup team. Min Woo Lee will also fancy his chances in Brisbane. He’ll be looking to build on a strong 15T finish at the DP World Championship last week. Others to look out for are Adrian Meronk, Rafa Cabrera Bello and Nicolas Colsaerts.
