The DP World Tour is back in South Korea for the first time since 2013 as a two-week run in the Far East comes to an end at the Korea Championship Presented by Genesis. The event co-sanctioned by the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association features stars of both the DP World Tour and the KPGA in a global field at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea. Just a few weeks on from his Masters Tournament debut, Adrian Meronk arrives in Korea as the top-ranked player in the field. The Pole is already a winner on the DP World Tour so far this season, cruising to a five-shot win at the ISPS HANDA Australian Open in December. That came just five months after his breakthrough triumph at the Horizon Irish Open when he made history as the first player from his country to win a Tour event. Many of this week’s field will be competing in South Korea for the first time, but one player with competitive experience and a record of performing strongly in the country is Richie Ramsay. The Scot finished runner-up at the 2012 Ballantine’s Championship, a year after a top 15 finish in the same event. Already a winner on the DP World Tour back then, he has since added three further victories, most recently ending a seven-year wait for a fourth Tour title at the Cazoo Classic last summer.
