Dawn Morse of Core Elements Training demonstrates how to perform Clinical Yoga based posture Salabhasana otherwise known as Locust Pose.
This is an excellent posture for those suffering with low to moderate generalisted back pain as it helps to strengthen the back.
During this posture the body lifts upwards against gravity which helps to strengthen the gluteals, hamstrings, and the errector spinea and lumbar region of the back.
If performing this stretch yourself, aim to move into and out of this posture slowly for about three times as a mobility movement and then build up to holding this posture for about 5 breaths and then repeat.
This is an example of the stretches covered in Core Elements accredited and insurable Online CPD short course in Clinical Yoga.
