A skips and B skips are fantastic sprinting drills to develop proper form and foot strike. What many sprinters and coaches don’t realize is that they can also be used to develop strength and core stability with the addition of a med ball.
If you want to sprint fast with optimal technique you need to develop great ‘core’ stability. In this video Olympic sprints coach Ken Harnden teaches 2 variations to the a skip and b skip exercises that focus on critical stabilizer muscles that are responsible for proper sprinting posture.
