West Lakes Tennis Club

The West Lakes Tennis Club was built between 1985 and 1987. A board was formed and together with the Charles Sturt Council, Club West Lakes (formerly known as the Lakes Sports Community Centre) came to fruition for the residents and neighbors of the West Lakes area.

We are one of the few 12 court, fully lit complexes in South Australia. All courts have been built to international standards and along with a large and well presented clubhouse. The layout of the area has paid particular attention to aesthetic and logistical details with the courts being set between the clubhouse and a vast reserve with plenty of car parking space for everyone’s convenience.

The West Lakes Tennis Club is affiliated with Western District Tennis Association and Tennis SA. We offer competition and social tennis to players of all ages and skill levels. Coaching is provided by Shannon Cox and his team of experienced coaches at Western Tennis Academy for beginners and advanced players Monday to Friday. New members are most welcome and the courts can be hired on a casual basis.

Our club has played host to events of significant importance such as The Charles Sturt Adelaide International, The Masters Games, The University Games and Australian Money Tournaments.
