Kidman Archers

Kidman Archers

by , in Local Business or Place , April 14, 2023

Kidman Archers, established in 1973 is located in Adelaide's western suburbs at West Beach. The Club's name originates from its time at its first home at Kidman Park High School.

On three occasions since its formation, the Club has had to move grounds due to property owners making changes to the use of their land. Despite this the Club has survived in order to address a continuing demand for an archery club in the western suburbs.

We have lush green grounds all year round that are dust-free, soft and cool under foot!

Located away from any main roads and hidden in a residential suburb amongst trees, it makes you feels like you are in a relatively remote location.

HILLS ARCHERS

HILLS ARCHERS

by , in Local Business or Place , April 14, 2023

HILLS ARCHERS, established on 10 September, 2013 (& incorporated in January, 2014), is located at Lenswood Memorial Oval in Yurrebilla (the Greater Mount Lofty Parklands) above Adelaide.

We are a target archery Club, and we encourage our members to participate in all facets of social and competitive archery. We love archery and you too can enjoy this fabulous sport!

The Lenswood area enjoys a temperate climate, meaning that shooting can be just about all year around..... yes, we may get some rain, but arrangements have been made for it to fall on days other than shooting days and, not in the morning. (Well, maybe every now and then.)

The Club is open on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. Our Club calendar indicates if the Club grounds are not available due to other events.

We pride ourselves on being family-friendly and welcoming to all. Our philosophy is that we are about focus, fun and enjoyment, first and foremost.

We invite you to visit us and enjoy the unique ""HILLS"" experience!

Our Club's official shoots are held on Saturday afternons. (Members have access seven days a week.)

EFA is the longest continously operating field archery Club in SA and prides itself on its family-friendly, relaxed and inclusive environment.

Our field course comprises 15 permanent butts, with extra butts used for target rounds, coaching and practice.

Our unique venue is set within a stunning natural bushland setting. The course is bisected by Viaduct Creek. An array of birdlife, and other local fauna continue to inhabit the remnant greybox grassy woodland of this slice of the park.

Importantly, our Club supports the work of the Friends of Shepherds Hill Recreation Park: a volunteer group helping to restore this beautiful woodland.

Our Club is aligned with World Archery, and is affiliated with Archery Australia and ARCHERY South Australia.

Eden & the AllianceTournaments are hosted by EDEN for ARCHERY SA/Archery Australia members. If you are affiliated and an Archery Alliance member (member of ABA, 3DAAA or TAA), you can join us to experience the quintessential field shoot.

EDEN has played host to a variety of events including the 1954 National Archery Championships. The inaugural Archery Australia Junior National Championships were delivered in 1978. EDEN hosted events for the Australian Masters Games in 1989, 1999, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. It also was the venue of one of the archery events of the World Police and Fire Games in 2007.
