Seaside Tennis Club was established in 1917 by a group of people that got together and wanted to play tennis.  That means we are older than a century!   By the 1930’s it was large enough to hold club championships and by the 1950’s the club had dozens of members, including junior teams. 

The club has lasted the test of time, and today boasts approx. 250 members and a strong reputation. Well known players to have graced our courts including Lleyton Hewitt, Alicia Molik and Darren Cahill.

The Seaside Tennis Club is located on Cudmore Terrace, adjacent to the Western Hospital.  The club has 12 courts and we also use alternate courts in the summer at West Beach. The club caters for players of all ages, with both junior and senior teams playing competition in summer and winter.  Seaside is affiliated with the Western District Tennis Association, Metro League and State League of South Australia. 

Our Junior teams play on a Saturday morning (Friday night for Premier and State League) and play home and away games.  Our Senior teams play on a Saturday afternoon and also play home and away.  The club accommodates for all player levels, and it is a great club to have fun, keep fit, socialise, and be part of a successful tennis club. Our mission is to promote and encourage the playing and enjoyment of tennis for all ages and abilities and to provide superior tennis facilities and coaching in the Western suburbs.
