The UniSA Shodokan Aikido club offers practice in self-defense, fitness and competitions with the opportunity to meet new people in a safe environment. The club is open to all members of all abilities and fitness levels. Additionally, the club is associated with Sport Aikido Australia (formerly Oceania Aikido Kyougi Renmai) and ofcourse Japan for training workshops and competition events. Australia is a founding member of World Sport Aikido Federation (WSAF).
This club was founded in 1995 by Sensei Andrew Bereny, Rokudan (6th dan). He has more than 35 years experience in Shodokan (Tomiki) Aikido and is supported by a dedicated team of Black Belts (Yudansha) here in Adelaide and Australia.
