My name is Marlize, and I am the owner and head photographer of Just Believe Photography. I am an Adelaide based photographer, specializing in wedding photography, maternity photography, newborn photography cake smash photography and family photography.

I have always been interested in arts and started my journey in photography after meeting my husband, an enthusiastic hobbyist. After completing my formal training as Professional Photographer at the New York Institute of Photography, I established Just Believe Photography in 2016. Initially I focused mainly on family photography, but my love for happily-ever-afters prompted me to also complete a follow up course in Wedding Photography. Since I started my photography journey I have captured numerous beautiful families, babies and weddings, initially as second shooter and later as main photographer. In 2020 I became a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

For me the main focus of family and wedding photos should be the relationship between my clients, therefore I always try to capture the bond between parents and their children, or the love shared by a couple getting married. I aim for natural looking and relaxed photos, with a bit of whimsical posing and interesting angles.

In 2019 I was both a Local Round Winner as well as a Country Round Winner in the International Wedding Awards for my wedding photography and I was awarded a Five Star Award by Easy Weddings. In 2020 I was once again a Local Round Winner in the International Wedding Awards and received another Five Star award from Easy Weddings. In 2021 I was also a Global Round in the International Wedding Awards. Winner. In 2021 I was ranked number 6th of the top 35 Adelaide Wedding Photographers by the editorial team of the Wedding Diaries. I also had the honor of being ranked as one of the top 10 Adelaide Photographers by The Brides Choice Awards 2021. In 2021  Australasia's Top Wedding Photographers commended me for my single shot wedding photography images. In 2022 I received another Easy Weddings Five Star Award, and was Highly Commended for my black and white wedding image by the Sony Mono Awards. I was a Global Round Winner in the 2022 Inetrnational Wedding Awards.

I also had the lovely privilege of the recipient of many newborn photography awards: I received a Bronze Award for Newborn Photography in the 2020 Rise International Photography Awards, and another Bronze for Newborn Photography in the 2021 Shine Photo Awards. Legacy Photography Awards awarded me gold and silver certificates for several of my newborn and maternity photography images. In July 2022 one of my newborn photos was published in Issue #155 of Lensational Magazine.

I believe that every person is beautiful and unique, and this is how I want to portray my clients. There are moments in life, like the addition of a beautiful baby to your family, or your wedding day, that should be captured to preserve those memories for ever.
