THE REAL ME

You know that feeling you get when you've had an enormous, satisfyingly productive day, your head finally hits the pillow and you're out in seconds?

Yeah, not a stranger to that feeling. I keep a little busy juggling the wife and mum life with running this beloved business, relief teaching and all things in between. I'm obsessed with family time but if I had a day to myself, you'd either find me at the beach, getting a relaxing massage, drinking a smoothie or fresh-pressed juice or secondhand shopping... throw in a gal pal and a couple episodes of "Friends" and I'd be set!

I've always loved taking photos... I reckon it's safe to say that I've come a long way from 10 year old me with my very first camera (a waterproof, "digital" camera... I thought I was pretty frickin cool). All these years and I still can't pry myself away from capturing people in their element.

When I was six years old, my family and I moved to Taiwan and Asia became our backyard for those 11, wild years of my life. With my camera in hand, we exchanged stories with villagers in Thailand, shared boat rides with seafarers in Malaysia, shared meals with those less fortunate in the Philippines (where my ma is from), discovered remote, hidden gems with local islanders in Indonesia and were given a warm place to sleep by incredibly hospitable Mountain tribespeople in India. Getting to the heart of each culture lead to experiencing tastes, landscapes, art and the most friendliest of human beings and not to mention, some pretty epic shots.

All these adventures have inspired me to go all out on every shoot, whether it's a wedding day or a 20 minutes portrait session. I want to capture the essence of who you are, your emotions, your connections... the real you.
