G’DAY, I’M LUKE SIMON

SOUTH AUSTRALIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2019, CAPTURING EPIC DAYS FOR AWESOME COUPLES.

I’m Luke Simon, and  I’ve been an Adelaide Wedding photographer since 2004, and I still love it. (sounds like something you’d say at an AA meeting)

I’m driven by my love for my family first and foremost. I try very hard to find balance between my business and being the best father I can be to our two boys Henry and George. Sometimes I fail at this I’m sure, being self employed can make it hard to switch off at times! I also try hard to NOT be a complete pain in the ass to my beautiful wife Carrie, I fail at this sometimes also. I’ve been blessed beyond belief to have a family and I thank my lucky stars daily.

This love for my own family is also what motivates me every time I photograph a Wedding. For the love the couple have for each other, for the pride and love their parents have for them and their families is why I’m a Wedding Photographer. Some people ask me how I deal with all the bridezilla’s and whether I actually REALLY enjoy shooting weddings, and there’s no hesitation for me, I love the pace of the day, the emotions that run through it all and the immense pleasure that comes from delivering photographs that come with my heart and soul.

I have been very fortunate to travel with my work and have photographed destination weddings and elopements in countries including Sweden, Bali, Laos and Italy, South Africa, Fiji and Hawaii soon..and the Maldives on multiple occasions. So yes, happy to travel too.

We will feel like old friends if you love great food and sharing a good wine while digging your toes into the grass (or sand). If you take in the world with the glass half full and a good sense of humour, we’ll definitely have some fun together.
