When I invited Vince out to my place, I had originally asked him to teach me some #wrestling for #MMA. That has always been a weak area of mine, as I’ve always focus on striking. And so, I once again humbly took the role as student, and let Vince show me the ropes.
In this video, he explains a concept that he calls “cat butt,” where he teaches the importance of keeping the hips active as soon as your ass hits the mat. A wreslter is trying to control your lower body, so that they can nullify your mobility on the ground, advance positions, and then ground and pound their way to victory. Vince shares what you need to know to scramble and get back to your feet once someone’s taken you down.
